Document: Planning Inspectorate letter clarifying Local Plan expected to be 15 years from adoption (Jun 2013)

Download Document (PDF)The Government Planning Inspectorate has written to both WeAreResidents.org and Saffron Walden MP Alan Haselhurst to unequivocally clarify what they expect to see from the Local Plan. Specifically the Planning Inspectorate has confirmed that a Local Plan must last for a minimum of 15 years from the date of adoption. UDC had proposed that their Local Plan would run to 2026 after being adopted in 2014 (12 years).
