The developers’ open season seems set to continue due to the fact that UDC is behind in its requirements to demonstrate it has a 5 year housing supply of 415 new houses a year. Even though Dunmow residents believe they’ve met their obligations, more new, non-Local Plan promoted sites keep coming forward. And the developers are likely to win on appeal as the precedent has already been set in Dunmow when Redrow won on appeal in January.
This week Knights Development has submitted an application for 68 homes on a 12.8 hectare site at Brick Kiln Farm to the east of Great Dunmow. The application is UTT/13/0847/OP and is available for public comment on the UDC website until May 15th.
