BBC News: Griff Rhys Jones on localism and planning

Broadcaster and presenter Griff Rhys Jones interviewed on BBC News talks about how local residents should protect their towns and villages from poor and short termist planning laws. He believes that when it comes to planning policy and regulation, national and local governments are “lying through their teeth”.

Although not specifically talking about our district, these are exactly the issues being raised by in our campaign against Uttlesford District Council and their draft Local Plan.

  1. thanks once more for a very informative web site – what I am thrilled to see is a firm non political stance here. we are not trying to pick on anyone we just want the best for our communities whoever they choose to vote for. our council is supposed to represent us not the other way around.
