Walden Local: Traffic slowly destroying town

Saffron Walden resident Peter Cornell writes in today’s Walden Local.

I am all for development and planning for the future but 880 new homes is utter madness. We live just off Radwinter Road (or should we say Gridlock Road?) near Tesco. Three or four times nearly every day we spend 15 to 20 minutes just trying to leave our road. I run my own one-man business in and around Saffron Walden and spend more time trying to get to jobs than I do at them. And now they want to build more houses?
